SJVN has received ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System Certification (ABMS), said Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director of SJVN, on achieving the certificate. Further, he added that because SJVN is the only PSU in the power sector to receive this certification, every SJVNite is proud of this accomplishment. ISO 37001 is a globally recognised management system known as ABMS that aids in preventing, spotting, and responding to bribery incidents.
Sh. Sharma added that SJVN’s steadfast dedication to putting effective anti-bribery Policies and Procedures demonstrates their commitment to ABMS. The organisation received prestigious accreditation by the Bureau of India Standards (BIS). He added that SJVN ensures that all its stakeholders and workers uphold ethical standards to comply with the ISO 37001 requirements. He continued by saying that SJVN thinks honesty is the cornerstone of civic responsibility and sustainable development.
According to Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, the certification is given after the ISO 37001:2016 requirements have been implemented and monitored at 14 different SJVN locations. There are twelve (12) other project locations, including the corporate headquarters in Shimla, the liaison office in Delhi, and states including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.
Sh. Prem Prakash (IOFS), Chief Vigilance Officer SJVN, and his staff were instrumental in obtaining this certification, and Sh. Nand Lal Sharma appreciated their efforts.
(ISO 37001:2016) Anti-Bribery Management System is an international standard that offers methods to eliminate bribery-related problems and mishaps. The system consists of a policy against bribery, the appointment of a person or people to monitor compliance with that policy, training, risk assessment, and implementation of reporting and investigation procedures.
