According to a press statement, the Akshaya Patra Foundation, which has been feeding schoolchildren under the State government’s Gorumudda and other programs, has obtained ISO 22000:2018 accreditation for upholding appropriate conditions in the kitchen and food quality.
The foundation, which has its headquarters in the district’s Singupuram, has been providing meals for over 26,500 students enrolled in 309 schools in the Srikakulam and Gara mandals.
The foundation was awarded the certification after thorough verification of the standards being adopted in the kitchen and the supply chain, said operations manager P. Venkataraju.
