TCS has reached a significant milestone by becoming the first publicly acknowledged recipient to achieve a Multiple Simultaneous Appraisal against two constellations of the CMMI® model. Additionally, TCS has become the first organization globally to achieve Level 5 appraisal in the CMMI®-SVC model, highlighting the maturity of its rapidly expanding Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Infrastructure Services business.

The appraisal across TCS’ service lines is a result of their Integrated Full Service strategy, which showcases the firm’s dedication and capability to deliver a unified Global Service Standard to clients through their distinctive Global Network Delivery Model (GNDM™). The enterprise-wide appraisal further confirms this commitment and ability.

TCS characteristically proves a basic tenet of quality that everyone wins when it is done well. TCS does quality well,” said Ron Radice, SEI-authorized High Maturity Lead Appraiser for CMMI®, while commenting on the appraisal.

The appraisal is evidence of TCS’ dedication to delivering excellence, fostering process maturity, and ensuring top-notch service quality. This commitment guarantees a reliable and a better experience for their customers and significantly contributes to TCS’ ongoing journey toward business sustainability and success.

Industry research supports the notion that utilizing the CMMI® Product Suite for process improvement leads to enhancements in schedule adherence, cost-effectiveness, product quality, return on investment, and other performance metrics. TCS’ process performance results have provided ample evidence of these positive outcomes.

CMMI – Capability Maturity Model Integration

The Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI®), developed by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI), consists of three models: Development, Services, and Acquisition. These models offer a framework for process and performance enhancement, encompassing five distinct levels. CMMI®-SVC, focused on services, provides comprehensive guidelines for improving service provider performance and customer satisfaction. On the other hand, CMMI®-DEV provides a comprehensive set of integrated guidelines for developing products and services.
